The Mona Lisa in 'The Louvre' may be walked around as the painting is hung on a free standing wall. The area behind the Mona Lisa offers breathing space away from the crush in the front.
Palace of Versailles is near the outer suburbs of Paris. The area could cover more than the size of a country town. A small tourist train on wheels and without rails runs on the grounds and is needed to get about in a reasonable time.
