Horsham
Is a Victorian city and is a convenient overnight stop if travelling from Melbourne. A three hundred km drive along the Western Highway (National A8). The beginning of the Wimmera/Mallee Silo Art trail is within fifty km of Horsham. Horsham and it's many overnight accommodation choices is good for an early morning start. Often smaller towns are very limited with tourist facilities. Then drive towards South Australia 160 km across to the Victorian/South Australian border onto the Dukes Highway near Bordertown in South Australia.
Tailem Bend & The Bend Motorsport Park
Drive a further 175 km onto Tailem Bend, South Australia. The location of the Bend Motorsport Park. A few km out of Tailem Bend and also a few km from the Murray River. Accommodation may be in Tailem Bend or at Rydges motel located inside the Bend Motorsport Park complex. The town of Tailem Bend is about one hundred km from Adelaide. The Bend Motorsport Park in now owned by Shell V Power.
